[CD]THE FOLDED TIME: 1/30 2018/6/3/10:00-20:00
¥1,000
CD 23min. 数量限定 kiki-235 KiraKiraDrone Yu Wakao / Akiko Yamane sound engineering and production : Akiko Ochi design : Akiko Yamane listen(試聴) https://youtu.be/Eh4eiDwhKNY In 3 of July, 2018, Yu Wakao and Akiko Yamane staged “The Room of Harmony”, a musical music event at the Social Kitchen in Kyoto. This event is one of the series of social music experiment which recently Wakao has been developing with the works including “The Room of Improvisation” and “The Room of F#” in which everybody can drop and join the performance freely. The concept of this work is quite simple; everyone can participate during ten hours between 10:00 to 20:00 with sustained tone only. Sometimes only two or three, sometimes over ten people joined to generate a kind of harmony or drone with only quiet sounds. How can we make a record of this extraordinary event? What we conceive of was to compress this 10 hours of time. Shrinking this stream of the drone to various size of time, there appeared different sound patterns as the rate of compression. When the rate came to the certain point, click-like sound disappeared and only main stream of harmony progression surfaced. This is the 20 minutes version selected out of the different forms. This might be better to regard as an another experimental music forged from this event. Thanks for the participants who visited with their instruments and gave the sound at the time and space.
